About our text messaging program

Basic Notary (“we,” “us”) sends account- and service-related text messages (SMS) to customers and notaries who have provided their mobile number and separately consented to receive them. Messages relate to notarization appointments and your account — for example appointment confirmations and reminders, scheduling and status updates, one-time verification codes, and account notifications. This is a transactional program; we do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Messages are sent from our number +1 (833) 633-4025.

How you opt in (proof of consent)

You provide express consent to receive SMS by checking the SMS consent box presented during account registration or when booking a notarization on basicnotary.com. This consent is requested as a separate, optional step and does not affect your ability to use any other feature of the Services. The consent checkbox presented reads:

I agree to receive account and appointment text messages from Basic Notary at the mobile number I provided. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Consent to SMS is entirely optional and voluntary. You may also opt in by texting START to our number.

Message frequency & rates

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and appointments. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to opt out or get help

You can cancel SMS at any time by texting STOP to our number. We will send a one-time confirmation and then stop messaging you. For help, text HELP or email support@basicnotary.com.

Privacy

No mobile information or SMS opt-in consent will be shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information is shared only with the service providers that help us deliver these messages (for example, our SMS provider), and only as needed to operate the program.
